On Sunday the Victorian Government released its plan for easing coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions. This included the advice that schools will continue to provide remote and flexible learning for the remainder of Term 3.
These following changes were also reported, though they remain subject to the advice of Victoria’s Chief Health Officer:
5 – 9 October (first week of Term 4)
Remote learning will continue for all students. Onsite supervision for children of permitted workers and vulnerable students will continue to be provided consistent with existing guidelines.
From 12 October
Students in Prep to Year 2 will return to onsite learning. I will provide further information regarding what this will look like in upcoming weeks.
Remote learning will continue for all students in Year 3 to Year 9, other than for children of permitted workers and vulnerable students who have been attending school for onsite supervision. Further information about the return date for these students will be released by the Victorian Government at a later time.
Whilst this is good news for our students and families in Prep to Year 2, this news may be quite challenging for many of our other students. Please rest assured that we will continue to work with all students and families to provide academic, emotional and wellbeing support throughout this time and beyond, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school if you feel that you or your child need further support at any time.
