Hands On Learning (HOL) is a program committed to re-engaging students into their schooling life. The primary objective of HOL is to prevent students leaving school prematurely by re-engaging students in their education. HOL creates opportunities, at school, for young people to discover their talents and experience success. The program at Brookside College is open for students in year levels 5-9, with the aim of opening the program to some younger year levels in the near future. A typical day in HOL involves students setting personal focus plans and goals and then using their skills to assist them in achieving these.
